This is an outstanding visitors centre. Frances and all the staff are just a joy to deal with. Really great good old-fashioned service where the customer feels like a valued human-being and not a pest, unlike so many other modern businesses.I purchased a fantastic historical book called "Cooma 150 years on" which I'm reading cover to cover. A splendid historical account of this amazing town and region. I strongly recommend this book.I first travelled here in the 1970s and I always love returning. It's like my second home :)

Nice way to explore city
It's better to go here and talk to the staff before you go into snowy Mountain area k(unless you fully aware of the current conditions and equipped with all you need). Very friendly staff. They have given most upto date details about the road conditions, snowfall and what we should expect on the way. The day we went was really bad weather.. But it becomes easy as we knew what going to face before we leave Cooma. So we already prepared for it.
I had to gather some information about Cooma and the surrounding towns for a school assignment and the ladies there were the sweetest most helpful ever. They were able to answer all of my questions and even gave some extra info!
