Generous portions, good food, friendly staff
Very old historical pub. Has that extremely old pub look and feel. Needs millions to bring it up to todays expectations and classnor will just die.
If you're looking for a comfortable, not too expensive place to stay with a lot of character then the Royal Hotel Cooma is it. The staff are friendly and the food servings are hearty. Would love to see it in the summer months with the top balcony in full flight. Would definitely stay again.
Honest country pub accommodation. Old style rooms are basic but clean and if you need a cost effective easy place to rest your head for a night or two this pub works well.. Alanh was very helpful and allowed me to check in at 11.15pm.
This pub has so much character which makes it a real shame that the rooms upstairs are not as well kept as the pub downstairs. The pub was on the cheap side of accommodation in the area so we were not expecting much, however no TV, no fridge or coffee facilities, only one power point in the room and a fire alarm that was dangling open (in an old wooden pub I would have thought a working fire alarm would have been an essential - The owners obviously don't care about putting peoples lives at risk). The communal shower area was shabby, the taps wouldn't turn off and the whole place needed a lick of paint. Just feels to be like the owners really don't care, which really is a shame as the pub has so much potential with a bit of passion and care. Would not recommend this place and would never stay again
